Independent: the exit of the sexes indicate another victory Zelensky

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has achieved another major victory, beating competitors in the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada by a significant margin, writes The Independent, citing data from the exit polls.

At the same time, it is expected that Zelensky will not be able to obtain the 226 mandates necessary for the constitutional majority. However, he will be able to form a viable coalition with "like-minded", namely with the party "Voice" musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.

According to the final data of the exit polls as of 20:00 Kyiv time, the Pro-presidential party "Servant of the people" gained more than 44% of the vote. The second was a Pro-Russian "Opposition platform — For life" with 12.5% of the vote. For the party of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko "European solidarity" voted 8.5% of voters, and for the party of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko "Batkivshchyna" — 7.7%. The last party, which managed to overcome the barrier of 5%, was the "Voice" with 6% of votes.

Nevertheless, the mixed proportional-majority voting system in Ukraine means that it is too early to talk about specific results, as there is a possibility of high error of the data of the ekskzitpol. So, residents of the country chose 225 deputies on party lists, and 199 parliamentarians — on single-mandate districts.

Earlier Zelensky described the parliamentary elections as perhaps even more important than the presidential, as if successful, his party will be empowered to carry out broad reforms: from the deprivation of parliamentary immunity and the extension of lustration to the removal from power of officials of the Poroshenko administration. And the results of the exit polls, as noted by The Independent, indicate that Ukrainians trust in this current President. 

In addition, another winner will be Vakarchuk, who seems to be playing a leading role in the new coalition. The British newspaper believes that the hit of the party "Voice" in Parliament will facilitate Zelensky process of obtaining a parliamentary majority, as will deprive the need to negotiate with seeking to return the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine Tymoshenko.
